Characters story: A native to the Demon Realm, Kurama was once a commander in a Demon army, led by the Demon King Dabura himself. As their numbers began to grow, a plan was devised to escape the world of the damned and once again return to take control of the living realm. However Kurama had plans of his own, he wished to escape the Demon Realm and live among the people of Earth.

Before the demons were able to execute their diabolical plan, Kurama went before the great King Yemma, and informed him of the Demon King's intentions, and in trade he wanted a life among the living, for he did not want to serve an eternity under Dabura's rule. As the demons marched on King Yemma, they did not know they were walking straight into a trap. The demons, being no match for the mighty and well-prepared King Yemma were once again banished for eternity to the Demon Realm, all except for Kurama. He was granted his life among the humans, now hated by all demons.
